Before Your Treatment

Schedule a professional dental cleaning before the whitening procedure to remove surface plaque and tartar, which can affect the treatment effectiveness.
Brush and floss regularly in the days leading up to the treatment.
Reduce consumption of foods and drinks that stain teeth (such as coffee, tea, red wine, and dark berries) for at least 24 hours before the treatment.
If you have a history of tooth sensitivity, consider using a desensitizing toothpaste for a couple of weeks before the treatment.

After Your Treatment

Some sensitivity post-treatment is normal. Use a desensitizing toothpaste if necessary, and avoid extremely hot or cold foods and beverages for a few days.
For the first 48 hours post-treatment, avoid foods and drinks that can stain teeth (like coffee, tea, red wine, berries, and strongly colored sauces).
Continue with gentle brushing and flossing. Avoid abrasive toothpastes for a few days to prevent irritation.
Refrain from smoking for at least 48 hours after the whitening treatment, as it can stain teeth and hinder the whitening process.
